Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 28, 2026

Welcome to Vox Notes. Your privacy is at the core of our design. This policy explains how we handle your data as an indie application created by Gerald van Eeden.

1. Our Privacy Philosophy

Vox Notes is built on a "Privacy-First" architecture. We believe your notes belong to you. We do not have our own servers, and we cannot see, read, or access your notes at any time.

2. Data We Do Not Collect

3. Third-Party Services

To provide premium features and reliable syncing, we use the following trusted third-party services:

A. Apple iCloud & Google Drive (Cloud Sync)

If you choose to purchase the Sync feature, your notes are synced via your personal cloud storage accounts. This data is governed by the privacy policies of Apple and Google respectively.

B. RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. This service tracks purchase history to unlock premium features. This data is linked to an anonymous ID and is used for app functionality and basic analytics.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

To delete your data, simply delete the notes within the app, or delete the "Vox Notes" folder from your iCloud or Google Drive. Since we store nothing on our own servers, deleting the app or the cloud folder removes all data permanently.
